What to wear for your session


The right colours and tones creates timeless and beautiful images

I always recommend choosing gentle, neutral shades that complement one another rather than matching exactly. Think soft whites, warm creams, delicate blush, muted sage, pale blue, gentle grey and warm earthy tones.


These colours work beautifully together and allow the focus to remain on your connection, emotion and the little details that make your family unique.

A little styling tip


Start with one outfit you love - often mom’s dress or baby’s outfit and build the rest of the family’s colours around it using similar soft tones.


For example:

cream + sage + soft grey

blush + warm cream + pale blue

white + taupe + muted brown


This keeps everything effortlessly cohesive without looking overly “matched.”


Avoid bright colours, bold logos, busy prints and neon tones as these can distract from the soft style of your images.

Instead, choose outfits in tones that sit beautifully together and feel natural to your family.

Keep it timeless


Simple textures such as knits, linen, muslin, lace and soft cotton photograph perfectly.


The softer and more natural the tones, the more timeless your gallery will feel for years to come.
